Calvin Farmer Jr. is the owner of Dogsense Training Academy. He is a United States Army Veteran from Columbus,Ohio. 

His passion for dogs began at a very young age, from raising hunting dogs with his uncle to taking his first bite on a sleeve. Growing up he had hopes to one day becoming a veterinarian. That all changed once he enlisted in the US Army as a Combat Engineer. 

After Honorable Discharging from serving his country. Calvin attended and graduated from the Professionals and master’s courses at a prestigious Dog Training Academy where he gained knowledge and experience from some of the best in the Dog industry. With skills in the fields of competition obedience, Tracking, Narcotic/scent work training, Police/Protection, Agility and behavior modification. He opened his 1st training facility in Peoria, Il.  Through the years of following his passion and dreams, its allowed him to acquire an abundance of experience which is shown through every leash he touches. Calvin has always had a strong passion towards helping dog owners find their dogs  purpose and achieve their desired goals with their dog. 

The training foundation he has set as standard, is to have proper communication and clear expectations.
